FAQs about our Shopify App

Do we need to stop our existing Google activity to run the Shopify App?

No. The Shopify App runs alongside your existing campaigns, agency or in-house team. There is no migration and no need to replace what is already working.

Where do Shopify App orders come from?

Every attributed order comes directly from paid Google activity: Shopping, Search or Performance Max. The Shopify App does not generate orders through affiliates, vouchers, cashback or email.

What is Shopify App commission charged on?

Commission is charged only on the Shopify order subtotal: the product value, excluding shipping and tax. On a £31.14 order made up of £20.00 of products, £5.95 shipping and £5.19 VAT, the agreed revenue share applies to the £20.00 subtotal.

How is an order verified and attributed?

Shopify confirms the completed order, and Google’s click ID confirms that a Bidnamic ad was the final paid click before purchase. Attribution is last paid click on a 30-day window. The order, revenue, traffic source and commission are then shown inside the app.

Do we pay for assisted orders?

No. If we are not the last paid click, no commission is due. If a customer clicks your campaign, leaves an item in the basket and later returns through another of your Google Ads campaigns, Bidnamic is no longer the last paid click and the order is not eligible. Within 30 days it still appears in the Assisted tab, so you can see the revenue we are helping with but not charging for, always at zero revenue share.

Who funds the Google investment?

Bidnamic does. We pay Google for the incremental customer acquisition, and you pay the agreed revenue share only when an attributed sale occurs.

How should we choose a revenue share?

Your share should reflect your gross margin, customer lifetime value, normal cancellation or refund rate, and the profit you want to retain. A higher sustainable share lets Bidnamic invest more aggressively. The panel higher up this page shows what each share leaves you across an illustrative month.

Can we change our commission?

Yes, once a month. In-app editing is coming soon; for now, email support@bidnamic.com and we will update it. Limiting changes to once a month keeps billing simple and avoids large swings (30% down to 10%, say) that can put Google Ads campaigns back into learning mode.

What happens if an order is cancelled or refunded?

Revenue share is still due on cancelled and returned orders. By the time the order was generated, Bidnamic had already paid Google for acquiring that customer, and Google does not refund that cost when a merchant later cancels or refunds. Factor this in when setting your share: reduce it by your expected refund or cancellation rate.

What happens if no attributed sales occur?

You pay no commission. Bidnamic carries the Google advertising cost, so our incentives stay aligned around generating attributable sales.

When are we billed for the Shopify App?

The app shows verified revenue, commission accrued and expected billing timing throughout the month. Commission is billed through Shopify, giving you an order-level record of exactly what you are paying for.

Will the tracking code slow our site down?

No. The snippet is roughly 3.2kb of JavaScript and it does not block any other asset on the page. It will not slow your site down, and it is required for attribution to work.

Is there a minimum commitment with the Shopify App?

There is no setup fee, no retainer and no long-term agency contract. Eligibility and the available investment level depend on the store, its product demand and its unit economics.
